Emergency communications are handled for the Qualicum Beach Protection Area by North Island 911. The dispatch center is located at the Campbell River Fire Station #1.

The Department operates communications on the 150-165 mhz range. Communications are assisted by repeaters. Members also use voice activated pagers and radios to respond to emergency calls.
