The Department in 2006 began the first Honour Guard in the Mid Island area. This project was lead by Deputy Fire Chief Darryl Kohse. All members of the Guard donate their time to extra drill practices.
This team participates in Qualicum Beach events regularly and marches in the annual Remembrance Day Parade. The Honour Guard will also assist other local departments upon request.

If you would like to become a trained Oceanside ESS volunteer, please contact Craig Reid, Assistant Emergency Program Coordinator, Town of Qualicum Beach.
